I’m just curious, I’m new to this whole thing if this software is for any machine or just shapeoko or nomad
You should be able to use the pro version with any machine that works with gCode. This is a change since version 7 was released. Version 6 standard had the ability to export gCode in the free or pro versions. With version 7 you need to pro version in order to export gCode. There is a whole thread here on it discussing the reasoning if you want to look into it. The free version of version 7 encodes the gCode directly in to the Carbide Create file which can be read and run by Carbide Motion when connected to a Carbide 3D machine. You can work around the restriction for now to export gCode from the free version of version 7 but it means uploading your file to the website and having it return the gCode. It is just an extra step.
Carbide Motion is specific to machines made by Carbide 3D.
Carbide Create may be used with any sort of machine which will accept the G-code which it outputs — either the free (but unsupported v6), or w/ Carbide 3D machines using Carbide Motion for v7, or w/ any sort of machine for Carbide Create Pro as noted at:
Discussion here is limited to things made w/ Carbide 3D software or machines.
