Update Carbide Motion Question

I currently have Carbide Motion 640 installed on a Windows laptop. What is the best way to update to Carbide Motion 651 ?
De-install Carbide Motion 640 then install Carbide Motion 651
or
Install Carbide Motion 651 without de-installing version 640
If Motion 640 is not removed first will there be a new instance for version 651 in a different location on the disk or will 640 be overwritten ?
Thanks, Bill

For major versions (starts with 6) it will over write. No need to uninstall.

Thanks Todd. Now I can proceed with abandon. I will, of course, backup the system just in case.
