I last posted here in 2019. After spending the last four crazy years to get to my retirement, I am now ready to spend some quality time with the Nomad and C3D software. I am self-taught with the Nomad Pro at our local tech library, but they have recently upgraded to the new Nomad3 and Carbide Create Pro and they let me run monthly CNC classes for patrons.
Recently created a US Flag desk display (about 12"x12") using CC Pro for the 3D Flag, Walnut text inlayed into two Hickory ‘explosive themed’ banners, and a Walnut and Guanacaste base; with brass rod supports from two 3/8" oak flag poles. Even created tiny 3D oak flag pole caps. Will be making a few variations on this theme for holiday gifts.
The Nomad is an incredible machine and Carbide Create (now with the 757 version) has come so far since I first used 300-series versions.
