USB Cable Controller to laptop

Good evening every one, I had a small issue with my USB cable that goes from the controller on my Shapeoko 4 XXL Pro to my laptop. Is this a special cable or is it just like a USB 2.0 cable that used to be for printers and external hard drives? I had something fall on it and pulled the ends of off the controller side.

TIA
Jeff

It’s a standard USB A–B cable — any will work so long as it has cables/adapters which make up the connection at both ends — that said, we try to provide a cable that has ferrite beads, usually it’s:

Thank you, kind of worries then. I found one and I’m getting the error that the cutter is not found.

Was the board/connector damaged?

Let us know at support@carbide3d.com and we will work out how to handle this.

Not that I can see, I removed the cover and it is solidly attached to the board and the new cable fits in there as the old one did

As I tried a different USB and still received the error I ended up ordering another PCB. Do you know, do they rebuild those or just trash them?

Some folks have been successful at making minor repairs (replacing obviously damaged components) and when supply chain issues were at their height we were doing some repairs for folks. Write in to support@carbide3d.com

That said, no electronics device or household appliance/tool should be trashed — instead, it should be responsibly recycled — check with your local municipality to see what arrangements are in place.

Agreed. I meant does CC rework old cards
