Looking into getting the new Mac mini to use for Carbide Create on my Shapeoko 3. Anyone already using a Mac mini? any issues connecting,cables etc. I see they use usb-c now everything on mine are usb. Thanks for any info please.

just check with Carbide to make sure they are going to be supporting the change from the intel chip to the mac chip. Lots of companies are dropping support for the newer mac chip. Always ask the software company if they support the hardware you’re looking at on all computers you might use. Love the Mac and I do love my Shapeoko, for me I already have a mini on it and am not worried until they upgrade to Mac OS 27, I will not be upgrading past 26 until i review all the software support options.
Yep, using a Mac mini for carbide motion. seems to work fine. I wish it had more USB C ports though.
Mac mini, M4. No issues at all.

I’m using a Mac mini (M4) with the Nomad 3 with no issues at all. I do have the Satechi port expander which fits nicely under the mini and give me 3 more USB-A port and an SD card slot.

Thank you all for the input on Mac mini. I see the latest model is coming out. I’m looking at getting that version. Any other suggestions let me know.
