Using Layers for workholding

One of the nifty uses I have found useful with the Layers function is to have my spoil board and work holding devices mapped as a layer. With known machine coordinates to various locations on the board, as well as having a work holding strategy readily visible as I design, life is easier. The shot below, my threaded inserts on my spoil board are shown on a layer, and on another layer is shown my setup and work holding for this particular job which I use frequently (pre-cut 20X20 birch plywood). I have other layers for other common setups… and I always start my CAD within this file, rather than a blank file. Really helps me. Maybe it will help someone else.
