I foolishly thought my diode laser would cut through my acrylic. I’m trying to cut out a tiny snowflake ornament so it’ll be about an inch or two. Plan b is my CNC. Will it work? Is there a specific bit I should be using? Plus recommended feeds and speeds, please!

I cut acylic all the time with great results using single flute cutters and the f&S for hard plastic in CC.

Thank you! That’s super helpful!
How small of a cutter are you using? Acrylic should cut really well if you feed fast (at least 3000 mm/min). You can find 1/8" single flute cutters pretty cheap.
I’d imagine a one inch snow flake might have some small details though.
I have a 1/16" but I think it’s two flutes. I’ll look to see if I can find one with one flute.
If you feed really fast and bring your cut depth down, the two flute will work.
