We started a little R&D project that used some of the V-carve code and ended up finding some optimizations to better link the toolpath segments. It’s working well so far, but it’s a big change, so I’m a little nervous about integrating it into the next release of Carbide Create.
If you have any really difficult V-carve files, with tons of little nested regions, or short, odd little spurs in the toolpath, please post them here or send them to support@carbide3d.com with my name in the subject.
