I just purchased Amana RC-45711 and think I might have screwed up the settings as a new tool because the carves appear deeper as letters start to over lap. Any ideas?
As mentioned in the other thread your depth of cut seems a little deep but not sure which model machine your running. I have the 3 xxl with belt drive and i know doc is about .1 in softwoods.
How are you zeroing z? If the z is a little low or the boards is not flat and warps up in spots it will carve deeper making the letters closer together.
Shapeoko 4 pro xxl. zeroing to top of stock.
