I was trying to solve the poster’s question, Can I cut this with CNC?
I’m using a 5° (10° included angle) tapered endmill with a 1/8" tip, so I’m offsetting everything to get the toolpath 0.0625 away from the finished surface.
Cutting 2.75" deep for the inside of the cup, I’m taking it in three 1" cuts (last one 0.75"), and I’m noticing that the Vee Carve portion of the operation is not walking up the angled corners???
(As much as I’ve bitched about being able to turn that off when not necessary!!)
Resulting in the top radius, and a radius at the top of each level not being reduced to the 0.0625 radius on the tool.
