Vacuum hose storage

When using my Shapeoko CNC as a plotter the fixture for holding the writing instruments is clamped to the Makita router.

The Sweepy dust boot is removed for this operation. The dangling vauum hose needed a home. Tying it up with a length of string worked but I thought I could do better.

A simple saddle that fits over the overhead swinging arm with a part from my Sweepy hose adapter (the part was left over from a prototype - don’t throw stuff away  ) and I can now quickly store the vacuum hose.

I like that, simple yet effective… may have to steal this idea from you.

I see those green twisty ties, Bill. You bought a whole roll of that stuff in 1979, didn’t you! (I finally gave mine away! )

That holder looks really good, Bill. I’ve seen others put a hinged joint on the wall mounting, yours looks like you thought it out well.

Tex:

When we bought our house 21 years ago it came with a roll of green wire ties on the garage wall. It took 20 years to reach the end of the roll. I found this at a garden center and replenished the supply.
