Im trying to cut a flat surface, but I am getting varying depths. The bit is secure.
Is the machine mechanically sound?
How thick is the material?
Are you using an upcut or downcut endmill? If upcut, could the stock be being pulled up into the cut?
The machine is secure. I am using the #201 bit provided with the machine. The material is about 3/4" thick.

Try cutting a smaller area as a test cut?
Uh, the texture toolpath is supposed to have a varying depth — if you want a flat bottom, use a Pocket.
Oh ok. Even if i just want a flat surface? Not a pocket, more like planing the surface about .0005 inches.

With the settings you have the depth of a texture toolpath will vary from 0.0 to 0.1" deep — see the 3D preview.
