I setup a vcarve with just using a v bit and when a ran it it plunge strsight down cime right back up move some where else plunge down come back up over and over leaving little holes bssically if you know what i mean why is thst or is that normal
Yes, V-carve with clearing goes through about 4 steps
It precuts intersections, then it traces the vectors, then it picks out additional corners, then it does the clearing where the vectors are too wide to fit the bit, and the clearing tool won’t fit.
I didnt use a clearing tool only a v but or should i use a different toolpath im doing a bible verse
Even without the clearing tool, it goes through 3 of those steps. So the “sewing machine” moves are normal.
You can use a V tool at a constant depth with a contour path if your vectors/lines can all be the same width. Like with a single line font, or a pencil drawing.

That’s enough to tell me a single line strategy won’t work. Looks like the letters/characters have widths of about 0.2" - 0.4". That would get you a max depth of about 0.2" with a 90° Vee, or almost 0.4" with a 60.
So, yes it’s going to poke / sewing machine a bit, then carve along the vectors, then pick out the sharper corners. In this case, you want the sharp corners picked out, so that’s the path you get.

Run the simulation, then turn down the speed to lowest setting & replay it. You’ll see what it’s doing. The algorithm may not make perfect sense, but the end result shows everything cut.
Yea your right what can i do to correct it there was no sense in that he was just tryin to help by sayin the file gives yall more info p but i did try to upload it kept giving me an error
