Ver 815 vs Ver 835 (Bit size not listed)

Hello all!

I can’t be the only one, and forgive me if it’s been discussed and I couldn’t find it, but is there a good reason they stopped listing the bit size in the description of the tool in the new version (835) of Carbide Create? It’s one less thing I have to memorize and makes work so much smoother not having to click through them to look for the bit sizes in the bit details.

Am I missing something? Take a look at the pics to see what I’m talking about…

Carbide - please bring them back!

Cheers,

MK

Agreed it’s useful information that should be there, but a workaround is to make your own entries in the bit database where you can name them whatever you want.

Give CC 838 a try, all the info is there.

It’s a problem that was solved with version 836

Thanks all, I wasn’t aware a new version had been released. (would be cool if the software would check or maybe Carbide could send out an email when create or motion is updated).

There is a “Check for Updates” button under the Help menu, but it’s not an automatic thing.
