Vertical Centering not Working

Running CC Pro Build 813

Just imported an SVG that is a small part of a project. Since I wasn’t sure how the import might be treated by CC, I took the precaution of grouping all the vectors for the two (identical items). Then I clicked both of them, clicked on Align Vectors, and then the right one of the three choices. Nothing happened, repeatedly. Horizontal centering worked, but not the vertical.

Just now when I repeated the process, to be sure I was writing everything correctly. Vertical
centering worked immediately. No clue.

So I deleted what I had imported and grouped, and tried the vertical center again. Nothing.

If you had more than one thing selected, did you change to “Align to Stock”?

If not, it was centering compared to one of the selected items instead. Since they were already aligned, nothing would happen.

Short Answer: Nope. Never really noticed that little detail. Wonder why it somehow worked later. But, “Now I know the rest of the story.”
