VFD set up for new HDM?

Good afternoon,

I just received my brand new Shapeoko HDM. I have it all set up and files made correctly with proper RPM.

The problem is my spindle will not turn on.

After reading through the manuals and searching for videos, I came up short.

How can I set this up so I can start working!?

Much appreciated.

Have you engaged the spindle enable?

See:

I miss red the instructions. I thought by having the button engaged it would keep the spindle from turning on. Wow. Thank you so much. Are there any settings on the electronics controller or in carbide motion that needs to be installed?

I did the same thing, without a manual in the box I made the assumption that red meant locked lol. Go into carbide motion and make sure your build area is set to hdm and your spindle is set to vfd spindle. Touch probe to Bit zero v2. Non of mine was set default, not sure if its a client side thing or contorller thing but I had to do it on 2 different laptops so im thinking its client side. Also use the command m3 s8000 to jog the spindle on once your initialized. This is 8,000rpm, once you verify its on an easy way to check its running correctly is to set it to 12,000 rpm (m3 s12000) and see that your at 200hz give or take some. 400hz would be 24,000. My spindle at commanded 12,000 reads 12500-12800 rpm at 209hz measured with a infared tachometer.
