I have been using my setup for over a year now, no issues until today. It looks like the VFD Spindle doesn’t spin when it needs to, the red light is on but no numbers are in the display. I’ve tried unplugging it, all connections and reconnected everything. and it still doesn’t work. Is there something i am overlooking?

Maybe a stupid question, but the Red Light is also a button. Have you tried cycling that button?
Yes, the Red light button is on, and i have pushed it on and off and still nothing.
One more obvious thing to double check is the power cord. The cord is removable at the VFD end, be sure it is plugged in securely. I fell victim to a loose cord once. The red light around the button will come on when your Shapeoko is powered up regardless of the VFD having power.
yes, it was loose but even after it still didn’t work.
I had a similar problem and called support…I kind of felt stupid,…but…
The red light goes on (around the button) even when the switch is in the off position. Check the physical switch on the VFD and make sure it’s on.
Pay no attention to the light behind the curtain…

Thanks Gary, i reached out to support and realized the same thing. even through my power switch was on, the fuse panel needed to be reset and now i am all good!
it works, by flipping the fuse panel on my 220

The light around the button is deceiving. You actually need to look for the numbers in the window to know it’s on…A power light would be a nice feature!
