Interesting little exercise here, design and mill a hold down for my new vise. It’s probably not beefy enough, considering the bulk of the steel one I modeled it after. Didn’t have any 5/8” plate handy so used 1/2”.
Refine it a bit and cut a couple more, see how they hold up. Maybe 3 on a side will distribute the load a bit so they don’t need to be tightened down too much. Kinda cool to do some two sided machining.
