Those are some deep undercut grooves to hold the swords, how’d you manage that?

I’m imagining you tilting the workpiece to get them started and define the general shape, then coming in with some post process to finish the depth and fully define them?

Awesome result whatever the process.

Aaaaah looking at the wood grain on the end might tell the story, the front half of each lip is a separate piece? Pretty darn seamless, nice.

Yes it is made out of 5 pieces , from two boards ,2 sided milling. Then epoxy and brads

Did you render it in progeCAD as well?
And man I’ve got to use wireframe more often, I’ve not thought much about seeing “through” a part to keep features on both sides in mind. Seems pretty convenient.

Ha ha , yupp the only way to draw. Drawn from scratch on progcad and rendered on Artesian render, a free software with progcad. I don’t think i could go back to small dinky monitors!🫪 perfect for breaking down the piece into blocks for each cutting path too.
