Water-cooling (active?) flow indicator

The container is a 11L oil container from Grainger. Top sold seperately. It very heavy duty. But wasn’t cheap.

I did a 12 hour 3D job without fans and it was 100°F in the garage and it only heated up about 3°. Never hit 100° water temp.

It’s way easier if you just wire the pump power supply to the VFD power in. When the power fo the VFD is on, the pump is on. :slight_smile:

That would be way too easy. I like to complicate things unnecessarily if at all possible.:wink:

Any chance I could get some details on how this is achieved? I’m not having much luck locating info online. Happy to provide models/specs if necessary.

I’m not sure how Luke did it, but I just plugged my VFD and pump on the same outlet (using a 2-way outlet extender), so whenever I flick the switch to power that common outlet, both the VFD and the pump turn on.

I took the plug off my pump and wired it onto the L and N of the VFD.
