Wavy American Flag

Hey all,

I’d like to cut a wavy American flag. I have a good stl file for it for carbide create pro. My only question is how to get the program to v-carve the stars… Any suggestions or is this even possible?

Model the stars in the flag in 3D at an angle?

Cant select stars in the stl. The only vector is the rectangle around the image of the flag…

You may want to create vectors for the stars if you want to use a smaller ball mill to finish them.

There is no way in CC to V-Carve the stars into the contoured wavy surface. A more robust (and likely expensive) CAM software may be able to do this.

Can you share the .stl? And let us know your sizes. We may be able to come up with something.
