When I ran 1.5" hose, I used this “Anti-Nuisance Hose”.
I then switched to urethane flex hose with a steel coil. Here is the 2.5" hose and 4" hose that I use now. I also have 6" hose that I bought, but haven’t used yet. When I do use it, it will be for a longer run out of my shed for my “big stuff” (jointer, planer, table saw. . .), since I don’t have room to run things in my shed, so I have to do the “big stuff” outside when it is not raining. I’ll use the 6" flex hose to go the 15 feet, then reduce to 2.5" to hook up to the planer or jointer or table saw or whatever.
I trimmed off some of the urethane and then ground the coiled wire to prevent static disconnects. My last disconnect was because the ground wire came off.
