The always open “What did you cut today” thread is chock full of some amazing projects and great ideas, but I know there’s plenty of other similar sites and threads out there - probably part of other blogs like this one. So that begs the question, where do you go for your inspiration?
The Smithsonian, which I recall visiting many times when I was younger with great fondness.
Current project is a re-creation of Thos. Jefferson’s lap desk:
and of course, H.O. Studley’s tool cabinet was once on display there:
(though that count is off, depending on how one totals them up — 218 plus a round container plus 14–18 unidentified objects is my count based on a book (which I won’t link because the typos in it make me very angry))

I get emails from this company. They are relatively cheap and have some interesting stl images for 3d carving.
