What are you going to use the bed tubes for after 5.1 upgrade

I’m thinking about using them to start practicing milling aluminum for making hold down jigs for the front of the machine.

C3D not playing around! These are the 5 vs 5.1 base frame extrusions as they’re oriented on the machine.

Most people will not need the leg kit (If you have a Shapeoko 5 before, you probably already bought/made a workbench), but if you do opt for the “full 5.1 experience” and are willing to drill into your new legs, the old aluminum extrusions can be used as the foundation for a shelf. I’ll be installing the legs soon… so the openings will be covered. But that’s a great idea for people not installing legs.
