I hear a noise when I jog the Y axis of my machine. It isn’t always at the same place, but it’s only on the Y axis and only the right side.
Here’s a video https://youtube.com/shorts/jH1pTwCUdm0?si=FneAD-0Wa5vQnHrb
In the video it sounds a little crunchy. In person it sounds a little more squeaky. I suspect it’s the belt but I’m not sure.

Maybe remove both Y axis belts then move Y all the way from front to back. That may be a way to help pinpoint the problem.

Or feed that duck … maybe the duck’s stomach is growling from hunger!

I had a similar noise…turned out to be the wiring for the Y axis…I could giggle the wiring and the noise went away. Redid my ties and all is good now.

Update - jiggling the wiring had no effect. I removed the belts and the squeaking is gone. I noticed that the belt gears are pretty dirty:
I have 3 new belts on order, and I’ll clean out those gears as best I can. I bet that fixes things.

I cleaned the gunk out of those gears with a nylon brush, and I replaced the belts, and the sound is gone. I’m not sure why but it actually sounds “cooler” now, maybe belt tension or something.
