I have seen other people use a protective film on carves so they can spray the carved area and not get paint on the uncarved areas. Does any one have a recommendation?
Its usually oramask but im sure others wil do.

I use a removable adhesive shelf or drawer liner. I get mine from Menards but I am sure you could find it at any Hardware or department store in the hardware dept.

I use a plastic putty knife to press it down and ensure no bubbles and has good contact.
You can get Oramask 813 here for much cheaper than Amazon.
