Why are some shapes pink and others black?

I’ve imported my design into Create, and noticed that the outer profile shape is displayed in pink, while my lettering is black.

When I go to create Toolpaths, I’m able to easily do so with the letters. When I choose a pink line, however, it says ‘empty toolpaths’. Any help?

Magenta indicates unclosed/open paths which are limited in what paths may be assigned.

Ah gotcha. I’ll need to go back in then and fix it.
