Why is this hitting screws?

I want a pvc fence system. I like the idea so was going to draft up one and saw this in CutRocket Shapeoko 5 Pro 4x4 PVC Fence System by reedlabs

I modified it to just half the table (just removed holes I didn’t want) and the third hole down is right on a screw. But if I measure and compare that to the file it looks like it shouldn’t be hitting the screw. Is it due to the way the center point was used and that’s changed? I’m just scratching my head. It’s probably more simplified than I think.

I changed the start from middle to bottom left and that resolved it. The authors original center is off or the motion center is off.

It’s funny because I didn’t trust it so I ran a bit of a dry run but I was only checking for board to board centerline. If I had let it go one more test hole I’d have seen and avoid the problem.
