Hello all, got ina new bit zero v2, I’m running a 3 XXL with a 2.4 board. I also got in my bitsetter with the expansion board. Is the connector on the adaptor cable wrong for this? The short adaptor cable to go from the black connector onto the white connector of the board do not mate up.
Upload photos showing the connectors in question?
Here you can see the white connector I’m holding has a different tab than the ones going into the circuit board.
On a current board and homing switch setup, you should not need the PCB Splitter — instead, plug one accessory into the Reserved header, and plug the other into the P(robe) input on the PCB Expansion Riser used for the proximity switches.
EDIT: Also, current production BitZeroes have Micro-Fit connectors to fit an SO5 Pro, and an adapter is included for other machines — there was a window where there were two models, one for older machines, the other just for the SO5 Pro, so if one has the latter and no adapter, write in to support@carbide3d.com and we will work out how to handle that case.
Thank you I’ll try that later! Does it matter which goes to which?
I’ve got it all plugged together, but now have a release feedhold command popping up
-This is a 2.4E board on a Shapeoko 3XXL, not a 3.0 board. And the adapter that is for the older boards(with the wire to jumper to AVR programming) also can not connect to the adapter provided with the bit zero
SOLVED: Though the connector on the Bit Zero adapter does look different than the one on the Bit Setter, both plug into the female ports on the adapter board. Don’t be afraid to just connect it.
