X axis belt shredding

HI all,

I’ve another problem, the x axis belt has jammed its self and shredded bits off the edges, photos attached.

Any ideas?

I’ve nearly been able to use the machine as it was intended

thanks
Rob

Your pulleys are not in alignment, looking at the third picture. I’m not at my machine right now, but I’m sure someone here has the correct way to install the pulleys.
Just guessing - you should be able to flip the motor pulley around and they would line up properly.

ok cool thanks for getting back to me. so the drive wheel or the bearings at the bottom?

It looks like you can reverse the drive wheel and it would fix your problem.

I’ll give that a whirl, thank you for your help, do you reckon the belt is ok?

I would definitely have a replacement on hand, but should be OK for now.
This is the replacement I have on hand for the X, Y https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016Q6LS98/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and this for the Z https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018528Z38/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You can also get a maintenance kit from Carbide that also has replacement wheels and belts.

@themillertree is correct. You have a Z-axis motor/pulley where the X should be — please contact us at support@carbide3d.com and we’ll send you a replacement belt and pulley.
