X leadscrew loose - 0.15mm play

I’m having trouble with chatter on aluminum even while using the old wmoy material Monday feeds and speeds. I noticed it happens primarily when X changes direction. So I measured X, without taking Z into account, and found 0.15mm of axial play with finger pressure.

I suspected the backlash nut, but I have taken a video (still trying to upload) showing the lead screw moving in and out, which probably means the lead screw is not appropriately captured on both ends anymore.

Is there an adjustment I can perform to take up some of this excess motion?

Happy to do so Will! I was just hoping to find a loose screw or something easy like that. You folks have great support.
