XXL Pro on a 24" deep workbench?

I have a heavy, sturdy workbench with a hardwood top that is 72x24. I am hoping to be able to put a XXXL on it, even if I have to secure it to the wood somehow. It would overhang about 4 inches on each side I think?

Has anyone done this? I don’t want to have to put another bench next to it and have the whole nightmare of leveling them to match each other (and wind up with a 48x72 surface).

The xxl workbench is: 50" (X), 42" (Y), 19" (Z)

That would mean nearly half your pro was overhanging

If you built a torsion box that went on top of the table with the full dimensions, then you would be fine, provided the table was sturdy enough and everything was balanced

Gotcha. Right, forgot the machine was bigger than the work area

Also consider the fact that you may (will?) build an enclosure at some point ?
If you do, you will want a little margin on the sides and front/back.
For what it’s worth, here are the dimensions of the torsion box/table/bench I built recently for my XXL Pro:

59" wide, 51" deep (and 39" tall above the machine base):

This is what I consider to be “the comfortable minimum”, but of course YMMV.

Not to hijack this thread but what is the material you placed under your machine in the enclosure?

It’s foam tiles similar to this

Dampens vibrations (old habit from the Shapeoko3 days, not sure it’s still useful with the fancy hybrid bed we have now), but more importantly the part on the front center of the machine acts as a “soft landing pad for endmills” while changing tools
