XY Zero'ing on a spoilboard hole?

Suppose I’m doing two sided machine like the cool kids do by boring holes through the stock and into the spoilboard, and using dowels or some kind of rod to fix the location of the stock, i.e. XY=0 is at the center of the spoilboard hole.

If I lose the zero position for whatever reason, could I just put a little jig like the following in the spoilboard hole and just probe off my bitzero V2 located on the raised ledge, whose corner is centered on the center of the circular plug? It’s not obvious to me whether or not the bitzero v2 probe bore is centered on the corner or whether there’s some kind of offset that would have to be accommodated (the jig in general would be rotated so its corner sides would not be parallel to the machine X & Y axes.

(The corner is directly above the center of the plug, although it may not look like it because of projection).

For the BitZero V2, the X-Y probing in the Bore Hole will zero onto the corner.
