Hello. This is my first post here. I have a Shapeoko 5.1 I just assembled and all is fine, everything working good but when the gantry moves along the y axis I keep hearing this tac, tac tac… every 3/4 of a second. I squared the machine to the milimeter so I would appreciate any tip you may have. Thank you in advance!

got the same tac tac tac with 5 pro. exactly as described. is there an issue and/or a fix ?

I’m working on the issue. I re-squared the machine but that didn’t help. So I’m looking at alternative solutions at the moment. I will let you know if/when I find. Cheers!

Did either of you get a video to support as suggested above?
Could be the minor movement in the carrier bearing end of the Y axis ball-drive shaft opposite the stepper motor end.

i actually had a call to check on this after i receive the machine. and seemed not big deal, but its still here… 
This seems like a good idea for you as well. There are a couple things it could be.
