Y axis-- skipping/binding

Just recently, i’ve noticed some inconsistencies while cutting. During my last setup, I noticed when using the bitsetter the machine jumped while moving on the y - axis. I decided to lube x/y/z axis and guide rails. I worked the machine in all the directions and I’m still getting the skipping. Here is a video of the skipping on the left Y axis rail. Could the plastic daisy chain guide be causing this?

Here is a link via dropbox to the .MOV that shows the binding–

Any other ideas??

Start by cleaning the linear rails (and the rest of the machine) and lubricating:

If things still don’t move smoothly then, check the motion hardware (and verify that all wiring and connectors are in good condition and secure).

If you don’t find anything obvious to address, put in a ticket at support@carbide3d.com and we’ll do our best to have someone familiar with the SO5 Pro hardware look into this with you.

Thx Will! I will get a ticket in today. I cleaned up the machine, relubed everything and skipping still persists.
