Zero is set, job starts in wrong position

Hey there, I have set my zero and am ready to start my job. When I do so it starts in a random position that is not my zero. I have run this file before and no problem. Should I be loading my .c2d file or .nc file into carbide motion? Sorry, new baby here and trying to learn the ropes. -Please help me out. Thanks!!

The .c2d file should be fine.

What you describe is usually caused by a disconnect between job setup:

https://carbide3d.com/hub/courses/create/job-setup/

and how origin is set relative to the stock:

https://carbide3d.com/hub/courses/running-shapeoko/movements-zeroing/

Usually comparing the wireframe preview in Carbide Motion:

makes it obvious how things are (or are not) lining up.

If you have difficulty working out what is happening upload your .c2d file, step-by-step notes on how you are securing your stock and setting zero relative to it and a photo showing the machine at the origin (or a specified offset from that position) and screen grabs from Carbide Motion showing Position and Machine Position (click on either to toggle).

I did it today. Had a job set to center and zeroed it front left. Doh!!
Fortunately no damage. Reset it & carried on.
