  1. When putting the router carriage back on, do i have to basically disassemble the entire gantry, left AND right to get it back on or is there another way?
  2. When replacing the v wheels, do i tighten them so they DONT spin? I feel like if i leave a little loose for them to spin, eventually vibration will wiggle them out?

Lord Help Me!

  1. At least the lower V-wheels
  2. No, they should turn and only just allow motion as described in the assembly manual.

With the careful application of a Maintenance Kit:

“that’ll buff right out” — if it doesn’t, check:

So now I got it back on, but I put my square up against it and it seems top leaning forward while bottom pushing back see attached for exaggerated example. An I suppose to keep cranking the Eccentric nut to make the bottom square up or something?

yeah, I recently purchased the Maintenance kit, that’s why I have the new v-wheels on hand to replace these, I got them on and the z rolls smoothly left to right, but now I’m left with a bit of Nod, that I simply did not have before this crash. Am I suppose to keep turning the eccentric nuts and…I don’t know, eventually they will level/or square up the bottom wheels to align with the top or something? I put a metal square up against my x gantry and it still seems square, not light shone through on either side. So it seems to just be oddly my z carriage, what have I done wrong though?

Yes, adjusting the eccentric nuts should bring things into alignment — if it doesn’t then adjust for tram and so forth as described in the various squaring videos.

I had the exact same thing happen to me recently. I purchased the maintence kit along with a BitZero v2 (had the v1), the bitrunner and a new carbide router (my work piece demolished it). I figured I would turn the whole thing into a positive and do some much needed matinence and upgrades.

I highly suggest you check your machine for square and re tram your machine. I replaced all belts and vwheels and gave it a good cleaning while I was at it.
