V-Carving a Background Image?

Hello,

I just purchased a Shapeoko 3 and am wondering if I am able to V-Carve a background image? The image is a business logo. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Regards, Ed

kind of hard to answer without seeing what you are trying to vcarve

vcarving simply uses a v shaped bit and cuts as deep as needed to get the width between the vector lines. But depending on software you can also limit the depth and so get v shape outlines and a flat bottom possibly combined with a flat bit to clear the flat areas

you would also have to convert your logo to vectors if you dont have vectors already

Yes, but it won’t depth-limit. See
