2.5″ Vacuum Fittings

Curious what folks are using.

A while back I bought:

wasn’t sure how it would work out, or how I would feel about the tool-less fitting/connector — after a couple of weeks of using it, I’m a believer, and also purchased:

(a similar fitting which has a rotating option) since I figure it will replace/work better than the angle which was using before. I think that they’re a much nicer appearance than hose clamps (even the nice ones) and if anyone is having trouble with their hose setup (the angle I was using to connect the hose to the cyclone I use had a disconnect which would cause clogs) would suggest trying them (or something similar).

Hi Will,

I am using similar adaptors from LeeValley:

Also often with this type of expandable hose at the tools like the press drill photo on the left:

Since I am better in using Fusion360, I design many kinds of adaptors and 3D print them.

Yeah, I’ve made a couple of adapters:

Lee Valley certainly has lower prices and is a great company to buy from, as I’ve noted previously:

Finally relocated my 3D printer and am looking at getting it back up and running…

Here is a photo of my latest adaptors for my bandsaw just done a few days ago. It is hold with magnets on the saw protector, so easily adjustable or removable.
