Hello everyone,
I come to you because I am facing a difficulty…
I’m starting 3D milling, I’ve had my SO5 pro CNC for a year now and I’ve never done anything in 3D.
I would like to make a PS5 controller holder out of wood.
I would like to mill a piece of wood so that the “feet” of the controller fit perfectly into the support, without play.
For this I retrieved a file of the controller modeled in 3D, I attached it.
(PS5 controller scan by Kabliga | Download free STL model | Printables.com)
I would like the first 2 centimeters of the amnette to fit into the wood…
Do you have an idea of how I should proceed?
I would like to offer this support for Christmas
Thank you very much in advance.

You will need Carbide Create Pro:
then you will need to model the stock:
https://carbide3d.com/hub/courses/create-pro/3d-tool-add-shape/
then it should work to subtract the STL at a suitable position:
https://carbide3d.com/hub/courses/create-pro/3d-tool-import-stl/
trace the outline at the desired level — this is a new v8 feature:
and use that outline to set the balance of the shape as desired.
If you get stuck, upload the files and we’ll walk through this with you.
