AR-15 Receiver AVG or DXF files

Does anyone have a file I can use to make the receivers for an ar15? I have done woodworking for about all my life (79 yrs) and have some special wood I will use. I have a gun store and #7 FFL so making it is no problem. I have Carbine Create Pro but am not smart enough to draw the object myself!! Thanks for any help

Interesting question to be asking on a wood working forum. Having a gun store and FFL I would think you’d know the size of the lower needs a bigger machine to rough out all the material. I won’t think any of the C3D machines could handle that type of work. Not enough tool clearance.

Take a look at Daytona Tactical for purchasing 80% lowers that would need a Bridgeport mill to finish on.

You aren’t from the government are you? One can get a little paranoid answering a question like that in today political environment and being a first-time poster.

Thanks for your reply, am only doing the receivers. You obviously do not now anything about guns. The receivers will easily fit on my machine.

We’ve had a bit of discussion on this previously:

Never assume what one knows. I have a Vietnam war veteran as a neighbor that was the Sargent of Arms. He knows a lot about firearms, loads his own ammo. And has had some firearms that the ordinary person would never own. I know more about firearms than you think. I just don’t say.

I see U-tube banned his first video and he posted it on Vimeo.

And that is a very interesting set up he has. Shows ingenuity. Also didn’t realize how far to the front those C3D units go. Makes sense now this it can be done on a Shapepoko machine. I stand corrected.
