Brass Bar - Endmill Selection

I have a Shapeoko Endmill starter pack and i was curious if someone could let me know what is the best selection in the starter pack for this.
The project i will be creating on this brass bar:
Raised letters for a stamp. (Heated impression stamp)
The brass bar is only 1" x 6" and the project will be done in a 1" x 2" portion. The bar is 1/4" thick. The letters dont need to be too raised.

Any suggestions or thoughts before i attempt this would be appreciated greatly.

Thanks for your time,
Be safe

First question is:

What alloy is this brass?

(is it one which is readily machined?)

See:

Good question about alloy.
It was a impulse buy on amazon a year ago and until now i havent had a way to make use of it the way i wanted. Im not sure i can be any more help then that.

If you’re lucky, it’s 360 or one of the other easily machined alloys.

It’s all-too likely that it’s 260 or something gummy which is hard to work with.

Ok, understood. Ill be more aware now that i actually have a way to machine it.
In that starter pack is there anything recomended for either alloy, ill be keeping in mind that my choice of stock may not have been proper.
Thanks for replying.

If your stock is 360 brass you can cut it with just about any cutter following Winston’s parameters. I just cut out four different branding irons, some with very fine detail, with non-coated mills I had on hand including a 0.254 mm end mill.
