CAM Speed Suggestions for Different Routers

So I just switched to a different router and the RPM speed ranges are a bit different than the former router I was using. When the CAM software recommends a speed, what is this information based on? Is there a way to edit the ranges for the suggestions, or do I have to know what those suggestions are based on and mentally calculate and change?

I know this sounds like a weird question, but I figured I’d just ask. Hopefully it makes sense!

It should work to change the spindle type away from Carbide Compact Router:

and then the option to “Show popups on RPM change” should afford the information needed to set the dial to match given the lookup table for your unit.
