This is caused by not matching the V endmill of the tool to the V angle in the software (3D preview doesn’t match result) , or using a V endmill to narrow to cut out the area desired (3D preview shows that this will be the result) — either use Advanced V carving or see:

V carve + inside pocket?

I’m trying to understand how to use V carve along with a pocketing operation. For example I am wanting to V carve an entire sign but there are large areas that need to be pocketed, would I simply V carve along the lines and then perform an inside pocket after a tool change to a flat in endmill on the inside of the pocket area?
