The only thing that I could wish for in the interface was a little higher contrast between panels and buttons, and between button states (inactive/active), particularly in the green buttons. That might actually be a function of my particular monitor, but I’m at the age when I’m setting contrast higher on things…
Downloaded the beta onto HP Laptop, Windows 11 Pro. Yes Yes and No Crash to the questions. Seems to be working fine, haven’t actually run a file yet though. Will post an update after I’ve used it a bit.
3D display is smooth and I like that I can orbit around and view from several angles. I will try some larger relief cut files when I get back to the shop later today.
I still notice “hesitation” while jogging with the pendant in version 665.
It’s better if I unplug and replug in the pendant while the app is running, but still noticeable in X and Y positive moves.
I just wanted to mention that on my ubuntu computer, when i go to the preview, it just shows up as black until i try moving things around, then it immediately shows the preview. So it works, but it doesn’t show an image when I first go to that tab.
I really really would like the slow continuous jogging with the pendant to be the same speed as the “move the axes” jogging during machine setup. And (at least with my N4, which is a quarter the size of an S5 4x4…) I would really really like the fast continuous jogging to be the speed that slow is right now. As it is, I never use fast continuous jogging, and only bump the speed for dial jogging (which itself is very nice).
Using Beta 667:
3D Rendering works for me, also, Jog works directly from the remote keyboard (without mouse click first)
