Corrupt toolpaths

I was working on making a part and I ran into something crazy. I always have been able to disable and enable toolpaths and save them so that I can machine my parts in stages. Normally when I open the file in Carbide Motion only the enabled toolpath runs. I just had a file start machining some crazy path so I stopped, reloaded the file, and it did the same thing. Then I opened the file in Carbide Create, deleted all of the toolpaths, recreated the toolpaths, saved them and reopened the file in Carbide Motion and it still did some crazy path. Is there a way to repair the file, or if it gets corrupt am I just SOL? It took my quite some time to make this file and it did work fine until it did this.

Upload the file here or send it in to support?

Try again in v8?

which is out of beta and now stable:

Brush_Adapter_Top.c2d (180 KB)

I think you’re gonna have to further define “crazy path”, as the simulation looks reasonable.

It was a path that was not any of my toolpaths. I had made several parts before and it ran fine. The time remaining bar that always starts out white and progresses green as it runs, this time started 3/4 of the way across green, and again not a path that I had programmed. Thus the reason I believe the file has been corrupted.

Post a photo of the outcome?

Well I upgraded to V8 and opened the file, saved the toolpaths, and it worked fine. Thanks for the help!

I have the sweepy for the Dewalt and the lower brush I bought didn’t fit.

The Deep Sweep is specifically sold for the 65mm VFD spindle.

I found that out as it didn’t fit. This adapter makes it work.
