Creating 3d projects

Have had my Shapeoko 4 for about 4 years now and have been very please with progress and success on my 2d hobby images made. It is now time to test the 3d world. I have Carbide Create Pro 853 for a while but frankly have only used it for 2d… some apprehension of venturing away from a comfort zone. I have “googled YouTube” but many of the videos are/or seem dated or of a manufacturer other than Carbide Create. Could someone direct me to where I can find videos that reflect current Carbide Create Pro versions with instructions “not too complexed” that an olde fart can understand and apply with some success…

Where can I find reliable/good quality files online would also be helpful!

Thanks in advance

Cheers!

what 3D design do you wish to create? To what end?

I get advertisements from https://cncplanetart.com they seem to have very nice designs. I have not bought from them but the prices are reasonable. I have bought images off etsy.com but that is very hit or miss. Usually they are very cheap but not always the best quality.

To what end…simplicity…hobby…keep it still fun to do. Not a business…
Obtain 3d file from “somewhere” and produce it. Finish it then place on the shelf in the workshop along with the hundreds of other 2d projects I’ve done. I enjoy the process of starting simple and moving to more challenging. Not interested in converting 2d to 3d.
