Error when font missing from computer

There have been multiple threads about this in the past it looks like and this one specifically says a feature request was submitted.

Throw error when Fonts not available

When sharing files and the design uses a font that is not available on the second computer carbide create will swap fonts out and not throw any errors. This is most noticeable when opening carbide create files that were created on a PC on a mac computer. It would be very helpful if carbide create would pop up a warning box that fonts have changed.

Did anything ever come of this? I just came across an issue where I made a small modification to a file I have used dozens of times but was on a reloaded Windows install. I did not have the same fonts installed and did not notice that it substituted the font and made the text larger. It has made a large piece of wood scrap. I am now trying to figure out what the original font was but can’t seem to do that either. Since the file is a binary I can’t look for any code to say what the font should be.

I guess the first question to get me back up and running is, can I find the original font somehow or am I just going to have to keep guessing until I find it.

the second question is can a feature be added to Carbide Create to warn when a font is missing from the system? It should tell me what font it is looking for and maybe give me the option to choose another or close the file so nothing gets changed.

If you have an image of text set in the font, we may be able to assist with identifying it.

Thanks @WillAdams. I managed to find it. Thankfully I did have a bunch of fonts saved on OneDrive and it was one of those. The main problem still stands that Carbide Create really needs to warn when a font is missing before it changes to a replacement font.
