I got it built, will figure out how to use it after Christmas. New to the CNC world.
Congratulations!
Please let us know how “Hello World” goes:
What sort of work do you plan to do? How do you intend to approach it? Curring what sort of materials?
Thank you, Once I do the Hello World I will let you know how it goes. Right now my plans are to make a few retirement gifts. I will approach it step by step and practice before I actually do a gift. I will be using wood as my materiel.
Not sure about your vac hose setup? What happens when it goes home to the right rear?
The pvc arm pivots, I am hoping with it mounted mid table the pivot will be enough to reach all corners with out binding. It is something i will be keeping an eye on once i get this thing fired up.
Finally got time to work with the CNC. Got through the initialization, running into a problem with the y axis not pulling away from the limit switch on the right side. It seems I may be out of square by 1/4 inch. Will have to look at that this weekend when time permits. Next step will try the hello world this weekend also.
Finally got power to the machine, the arm seems to pivot fine when the machine moves. I did have to pull it away from the wall a little more, thanks for the tip to keep an eye on it.
