First Sign Attempt

Here is the finished sign. A huge thank you to @WillAdams for your help w the logo. I learned so much on this project. Looking forward to more sign work.

I used single flute O Flute bits for this work (1/8 and 1/4”).

All of the colored parts sit in pockets and are held in place w M5x14 stainless steel screws made for plastic. The base material is 1/2” thick white/black/white Color Core HDPE. The color pieces are 1/4” HDPE.

Great job, turned out really nice!

Sign looks great. Would have been nice if there was a good way to avoid the screws but not much sticks to HDPE.

I use some 3M double sided adhesive to stuck multiple layers of acrylic together. Usually that is work I do on the laser. Put the adhesive on the back of one piece and then laser it so that it is precisely located and fully on the material.

I don’t know if that would stick to HDPE but I can try it. I have no idea if it would hold up well outside though.
